This morning, I woke up with a failed MMS trying to be sent to my mobile, I tried to log into the site in the failure message and couldn’t see anything. I knew it’s the baby. I called Gyander and Jeffrey, concerned that Yun will be unstable and needed more than just a phone companion. So sweet to know that Jeff & co. were at the hospital last night and have seen the baby.

While talking to Jeff, I realized how pleased I am with myself at this state. There were issues with work this morning… New employee’s booklet, problem with the outsourced security officer company, and a few nitty-gritty grumpy issues but I am cool. I think I’m starting to understand myself more and more again. I was disturbed and feeling grey when I started sinking into the “work is more important than friends” state. But when now that I am thrilled by my friends’ changes and also considering how their changes are going to change my life and holiday planning…  I feel good, elated and contented… O:)

Reading through my blogs in 2007, it sounds longer ago than it is. Much has happened in 2008, Shanghai has its heaviest snow since more than 3 decades ago, Myanmar Cyclone, Sichuan Earthquake, China Olympics, downfall of Lehman Brothers and eventually the Financial Tsunami. In my life, I’m back to singlehood, earn back some friends, became the acting RM of a property, had a nephew and completed my training program. My emotions had also went through a roller-coaster ride together with the calamities around the world.

To welcome the new 2009, just like from where the financial crisis has left us, I stood up again. We have to be brave at times like this. I did a stock-take of my life and tried to understand the losses and gains I earned in the past one year. Good to have a resolution once awhile. Learnt my lessons, clear up my mind and the only focus I have left - move on.

Aaargh!!! I really cannot stand this anymore… I woke up to a blocked nose and sore throat again?? What have I done man?? I already had been a good girl and refrain from fried oily food and keep ta-ing water liaoz… Still I kena again… This is like frustrating la… I feel damn terrible up the nostrils and keep getting teary eyes… I feel my tear ducts are like choked, do you understand what I mean??? I don’t even understand why it can be this way man… When will I recover?? When when when???

 This is not a new term in my dictionary but I have sat on the idea of creating one account her for awhile… Already cannot cope with Friendster and MSN and GTalk and Skpye and WordPress liaoz… Come one more… Pengz… But as some of you know of my eeccklkk routine, I decided to sit in front of my lovely laptop for one whole day to creat an account here… Well, just like another wave of Friendster craze, I find this thing similar, just added with much more interesting cum confusing tools like Vampire sucking blood and earning power points… Wa lau, this is like lame la… And poking people around… Can we have a real game going on out there??? Anyone???

Well, backed on popular demand, *_^ I’m finally here… And as I’m so lovable and wanted, I’m once again reminded of this fact by how fast the number of my friends are growing… Well, I cannot deny I feel good like reconnecting again with all my friends via another channel… And also taking the opportunity to remind myself like who is link to who and how they got to get hooked up with one another… And also, guilty to say, to check out again on some of my less-connected friends how they are getting on with life man…

In a nutshell, I was entertained! =)

It’s getting so cold with the wind that I begin to worry about Winter… Really dunno if I can withstand it… Am ordering a list of Books ready for my hibernation period in Winter liaoz… Need to pack some Hot Chocolate soon… =S

I started carrying my laptop to office everyday and this is a luxury. I feel so at home with all my tabs in English and all my familiar icons and being connected to MSN… =) Just simply lovely…

YEAH!!! I managed to log in…

So whoever is reading whatever I published today, please add more fire to my anger and more tears to my pathetic whines and the more you should add as the longer ago the incident occurred, then you will get a truer picture of whatever had happened…

And ya, me is feeling better today, than yesterday, and tomorrow will be better… Though it’s colder today than yesterday… =)

Backed on much advices, nags, concerns and to some degree, threats, I finally attempted to find out the location of the hospital and dragged my feet into one. I decided to head to a nearby　瑞金医院. Upon arrival, I headed straight to the information counter…  There’s a sign written 挂号二楼, not really understanding it, I proceeded to the 2nd floor. Majority of the people joined the long 挂号 queue, so I also conformed. Looking at the plasmas behind the 4-5 counters serving the queue, I got into another confusion… 鼻喉科，心脏科，普内科，消化科… blah blah blah… almost 20 different types, WTF am I suppose to see??? So, told the girl seeing doctor for fever, flu and sore throat… She gave me a patient card, a blue plastic card and a slip of paper typed with some info, like the doctor’s name, my Q number and the area where I am supposed to proceed to… 5th floor region D…

Found 5th floor region D, there are like 2 corridors of rooms in what I perceived to be belonging to this region… I strolled down the corridors and try to find out which doctor I am supposed to see. There is the different type of dept written on the signs outside each door, there’s also room number, but no doctor’s name for me to match… There’s this board thingy where info can be flashed on it and Chinese names appeared on this thingy. (You know, like Singapore style is flashed number when your number is due kind) I tried to see if any of these displayed my doctors’ name, but after walking round twice, I confirmed no. Then I saw that there’s this waiting area before some plasmas and I read the info on it. I gathered that I’ve to wait here for the room number to be allocated. Well, I waited till my name appeared, room D518B. Ok fine… I proceeded to D518B and waited, and waited, and waited…

After like an hour, while I was on the phone, this auntie who was sitting next to me peeped at my slip of paper and saw my Q number. She told me that I need to get the nurse behind the plasmas at the waiting area to write in pencil the room number that I’ve been assigned to then can one… NB… I walked back there and found the nurse station behing the pillar from where I sat awhile ago… Went there for them to confirmed my room number, typed something on their keyboard so that my name will joined the Q at the flashing machine outside room D518B… WTF!!

I went back to sit outside D518B for another half an hour. Ended up as the 2nd last customer. Went in to see 2 doctors sitting on 1 table. I told them that I was having fever for 3 days, feeling kind of cold, like also catching a flu and throat also feeling sore. One of them typed something into the computer and the other started prescribing… No temperature taken, no sthetoscope used, didn’t even see my throat… I walked out of the door understanding how can SARs outbreak here… Practically if 10 SARs patient walked in and see the 2 of them self-declaring fever, then they will only be diagnosed and prescribed fever medicine la… WTF!!!

And I was given so-called China’s panadol with no content of paracetemol in it and 2 boxes of lozenges, 32 tablets each box… Told to eat 3 times a day, 1 tablet each time… This will last me more than 21 days… What’s their freaking problem man??

I am really getting extremely sick of getting sick… I’ve never been so sick and so continuously before?? It’s like consecutively in 3 weeks and each time worse than before… On Saturday night, it was terrible… I practically shivered under the thick comforter the whole night when the room temperature was set at only 26′C. WTF! I was already suspecting if I was having dengue la…

I got better on Sunday, but flu la, cough la, sore throat la, all come meeting on me… I was like really nuah liaoz… After sending Bedok off, I literally went home to collapse the whole Sunday… I woke up in the evening feeling slightly better… But nb, after several attempts to try to get into wordpress site still failure… Cannot even voice out my pathetic encounter and frustration on not able to get in…

Monday, tried to get into wordpress again, still cannot and cannot and cannot… I am crossing all my fingers in all possible permutation that they are not blocking this only channel via which I still can voice out to people back home… =S

After work on Friday, I really cannot take it anymore. Think age is catching up on me and the weather is also tempting me into dreamland. I called Vicky to tell her that I wanna go home and rest for the night. So, I met them on Saturday afternoon instead. That night, they actually went singing till 4am, what another Bedok night man…

So Saturday lunch, I brought them to 铜川路 for seafood feast. After which, I brought Lawrence, Vicky, Ray & Shiling to me nearby my place to buy some tea and DVDs, while the rest head back hotel to rest for the longer night…

In the evening, we all meet at Pudong Super Brand Mall… Then we walked to the Bund at Pudong side… It was my first time there, pretty romantic a spot for a stroll hand-in-hand… But once again, who leh?? Sigh~~ Ok, back to the point, plus point about this side, less crowd, no stalls and hawkers approaching you for photographs and wide souvenirs and there’s a nice stretch of cafe and pubs where you can have a drink or coffee or dessert with the view… i.e. Xu Liu Shan, Starbucks and Paulaner… Back on popular demand, we had dessert at Xu Liu Shan here.

After dessert break, the group split up by gender. The guys headed for massage and the gals tried to get to Jin Mao Tower to catch the panaromic view of Shanghai. However, we failed at time caught up. We then struggled to get a cab among the 10pm crowd to get back to Puxi. After about half an hour, we managed to grab a taxi. I felt terrible in the cab. I was starting to get sick again… Sigh~~ I went back hotel and rested there while the gals went for massage…
